ANTIQUE GEORGIAN MOURNING GOLD SEPIA AND COLOR Brooch/Pendant with Original Case
Rare Mourning brooch/ pendant from 1700’s.
Beautifully hand painted with hues of green in 12K gold casing.
The pendant/brooch is attached to a pin along with a miniature gold coin dated 1882 (which was added 100 years later).
Beautifully engraved on the back with the initals “MCK” with the date, May 18 1780. (This is to commemorate the passing of MCK on May 18, 1780).
This rare piece comes in its original leather casing, which makes this piece one of a kind. The hinged casing has a hook closure.
Considering its age, this beautiful antique has been preserved with a lot of care and love.
The navette pendant measures 1.75″ by 1.25″.
The attached chain measures around 5″.
The miniature coin measures .25″ in diameter.
The case measures around 2″ by 1.5″.
