“Eventide” Tea Caddy Tin. Transfer Printed with village scene of the Church and Village Cross. In the foreground is a horse drawn cart being led by a man. The colouring of this tin is very unusual with only Golds and Browns. The lid depicts an Inn complete with lantern and the word ” Eventide ” in a scroll. This is a rectangle shaped tin with the corners squared off giving it an unusual elongated octagonal shape.
Dateline: Mid 20th Century
Condition: Fair. This Tin has seen some wear and the colouring is dark. There is rubbing to the body of the Tin and the lid has some loss of transfer. This has probably been in some farmhouse kitchen for many years.
